World of commerce is moving fast and the Sylius ecosystem is accelerating within it. In order to make it easier to navigate it for our Customers, Partners, and the Community, we decided to publish our agile roadmap.
With transparency and openness as one of our core values, we believe it is the right thing to do and beneficial for everyone involved. We hope to avoid duplicated work and make better decisions about the things we build. Any past roadmaps (including the one on GitHub) are abandoned.
The roadmap includes an overview of our plans for Sylius and Sylius Plus functionality and the company/ecosystem roadmap, which is divided into 4 sections, based on the amount of data we have and the level of certainty (decreasing with time):
We have put a simple, iterative process in place and will publish regular updates to the roadmap visible on Sylius.com. No matter what’s your relation to Sylius, you can contribute to its future. Feedback from our ecosystem of businesses and the community of people is a critical input in the decision-making process. And of course, we keep an eye on the market trends and challenge the hype-trains. 🙂
The best way to contribute to the roadmap depends on who you are:
You are encouraged to participate in the community discussions and channels but sometimes things need to move faster. That’s why we recommend contacting your assigned Customer Success Manager. Given our agile (Scrum) development process, we often see some of the requested fixes and features implemented during the next sprint.
Again, do not underestimate the collective intelligence and experience of Sylius ecosystem – start a discussion on our GitHub or Slack! You can also contact your assigned Partner Manager.
While the roadmap project on GitHub is now deleted, we still use the “Roadmap” label and review it during our regular, internal roadmapping meetings. So if you think something should be put on the roadmap and included in the plans – open an issue on GitHub.
The roadmap can be found here. If you do not want to miss another update, make sure to subscribe to our newsletter and join slack.
