Before the new platform was launched, Anima Equi managed much of its business manually through forms and spreadsheets. This made it difficult to keep track of bookings, payments, and availability, and increased the risk of errors in daily operations.
The challenge was not just to launch a new website, but to build a system that could support the full booking journey online. The platform needed to help the team manage availability, process payments, handle communication with customers, and reduce the operational workload linked to manual coordination.
Another important part of the project was adapting an eCommerce framework to a less standard use case. This was not a typical online store with a simple product catalog, but a service-based business with a booking flow that had to match the specific nature of equestrian tourism. The team also needed enough flexibility to adjust the look and feel of the website and shape the platform around their own operational model.

The project was delivered by Infinitum Digital, a Spain-based Sylius Professional Solution Partner and Symfony-certified agency. The team chose Sylius because of its open-source model, flexibility, and strong fit with Symfony-based development.
After testing the platform internally, Infinitum Digital concluded that Sylius offered the right balance between structure and development freedom. It provided a solid base for building custom features without locking the project into a rigid setup. To accelerate the team’s adoption of the platform, the agency also organized a dedicated training session with one of Sylius’s developers.
Built on Sylius, the new platform replaced Anima Equi’s offline workflow with a more complete online solution. It brought booking management, availability, payments, and customer communication into one system, helping the business work more efficiently and with better control over daily operations.
Integrations and key platform components
The final setup combined a small but focused set of tools supporting content management, payments, analytics, CRM, and hosting.
Sulu – CMS
Zoho – CRM
Stripe – payment provider
Google Analytics – user behavior and campaign tracking
Upsun – hosting
One of the key advantages of Sylius in this project was its ability to support a non-standard business model. Instead of forcing Anima Equi into a predefined commerce template, the platform could be adapted to the company’s specific booking logic, workflows, and customer experience needs.

The new platform gave Anima Equi a more functional and reliable digital foundation for running its business.
Compared with the previous manual setup, daily operations became easier to manage for the team and more intuitive for customers. The business gained better control over bookings, payments, and availability, while reducing inefficiencies linked to spreadsheet-based processes.

The project also improved flexibility. With Sylius, Anima Equi gained more room for customization and a setup that can evolve more easily as the business grows. According to the team, the platform feels faster, easier to use, and better suited to future development.
In performance terms, the platform is 20% faster than the previous setup, while the number of orders has grown by 6% since the relaunch. The project also delivered a less measurable but still important outcome: much greater confidence in daily work, both for the business and the development team.
