As digital expectations evolved over time and traffic peaks became more demanding, Corolle needed a platform that could support ongoing growth while remaining reliable during critical commercial periods such as Christmas and Children’s Day.
The platform had to remain fast and reliable when demand increased sharply,
while still giving the team room to evolve the storefront, integrations, and marketing operations. This was especially important because the project included more than a standard catalog experience. A key part of Corolle’s online offer is its doll configurator, which lets customers personalize products and preview their choices live, including on mobile devices. The configurator was first introduced in 2020 and later redesigned to better match mobile-first usage patterns.
There was also a broader operational challenge behind the project. Corolle needed a platform that would be easier to develop and improve over time, while supporting a growing set of connected tools for search, customer communication, support, reviews, and personalization.
In practice, this meant balancing custom product experiences, marketing flexibility, and platform reliability within one maintainable setup. The redesign also aimed to improve daily site management, make promotions easier to operate, and support customer service more effectively.

Corolle collaborated with Dedi Agency and chose Sylius as the foundation for the project, as it offered the modularity and flexibility needed for a non-standard D2C setup. On the agency side, the project focused on mobile-first UX, day-to-day operational simplicity, and improving the configurator experience.
Built on Sylius, the platform gave Corolle a structure that could support both core commerce functions and more tailored brand experiences. The stack was also designed to make it easier to integrate best-of-breed tools while keeping the platform open to continuous improvement.

The new platform gave Corolle a more flexible and scalable eCommerce foundation for future growth. Built on Sylius, it allowed the team to iterate more easily on the customer journey, connect specialized tools where needed, and keep the platform maintainable over time. This was particularly important for a business with strong seasonality and a need to support both standard product browsing and richer product personalization experiences.
From an operational perspective, the setup brought more structure to day-to-day evolution and upgrades, while helping maintain a reliable purchasing journey during peak periods.
