The challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Innelec’s previous platform ran on Magento 2.3, which had become outdated, limiting the company’s ability to move forward. The replatforming project was an opportunity to modernize the technical foundation while rethinking how the platform supported the business as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main goal was to build a B2B eCommerce platform that could give distribution partners a significantly better experience, help Innelec reach new customers, and, above all, make existing customers more autonomous throughout the purchasing journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reaching that goal required close integration between the website and Innelec’s information system, so that the platform could display accurate business data and automate key processes such as pricing, order handling, and warehouse communication.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Innelec evaluated six Sylius-certified agencies before selecting our Professional Solution Partner Cyllene<\/a> as its implementation partner<\/strong>. The decision was based on Cyllene’s human-scale approach and the depth of Sylius expertise shown by its team during the specification process, which included several highly specific business requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sylius was chosen for its performance, its flexibility, and the ecosystem of agencies and experienced developers behind it. Innelec needed to reproduce its proprietary pricing algorithm and connect the platform to its internal business applications. Sylius provided the technical base to do this without depending on a vendor’s predefined logic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From project start to the public launch of the first version, development took approximately six months.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Feedback following the launch has been consistently positive, both internally and from Innelec’s customers. The most noticeable improvement has been in performance: page loading times are significantly faster, and search and filtering are more responsive, which has made navigation smoother overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    During periods with comparable traffic and identical infrastructure, server load on Sylius has been at least 50% lower than on the previous Magento 2.3 platform<\/strong> – including during high-traffic peaks, when performance has remained stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Innelec credits part of this resilience to close collaboration between Cyllene\u2019s Sylius development team and its own infrastructure team, who proactively adjust server resources ahead of expected spikes to keep the platform running during critical business periods.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
