The delivery business presents unique challenges that standard eCommerce platforms struggle to handle. Gruchy’s previous PrestaShop platform had reached its limits<\/strong> and could no longer meet the company’s functional and business needs in several areas. The system lacked the ability to efficiently manage multi-warehouse distribution<\/strong> with separate stock levels, leaving customers uncertain about product availability in their specific delivery zones. Integration with internal systems like Logimatic for truck tracking and the newly integrated Mapotempo for delivery route planning required a complex integration path<\/strong> that slowed operations and introduced errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most frustratingly, the platform couldn’t deliver a tailored user experience based on delivery zones<\/strong>. Unlike typical online retailers, Gruchy operates with multiple product types, from traditional firewood and wood pellets to heating oil, fuel, and AdBlue, each with different storage requirements, delivery methods, and seasonal availability patterns.
